Apollo.io is looking for an experienced General Counsel to build and lead our Legal function.v Reporting to the CFO, you will support the company in continuing its high growth by ensuring that we scale effectively. The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance across multiple areas of the business while strategically supporting new growth opportunities.

- Prepare, draft, review and negotiate customer and vendor contracts and other legal documents.

- Handle administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in the business.

- Manage external counsel relationships

- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and developing strategies to avoid litigation and reduce potential areas of risk.

- Provide practical advice and support to sales, finance, HR, and operations teams.

- Drive the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.

- JD degree from a recognized U.S. law school and licensed to practice law

- Minimum 12-15 years of experience (including at least 3-5 years with a nationally recognized law firm) drafting and negotiating technology and commercial SaaS agreements

- Specific experience in SaaS with exposure to data protection / GDPR, international labor regulations, and the creation and support of new international subsidiaries

- Experience in corporate governance matter and working with the Board of Directors

- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve complex legal issues

- Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple project deadlines

- Hands-on team player
