Contribute to the development and execution of short-and-long range objectives, as well as the development of strategic and tactical plans. Lead and support business impact partners negotiating critical agreements with key Defense and Space (D&S) customers. You ensure that final contractual documents drive growth and include all deal parameters approved in accordance with respective approval processes and Honeywell business is conducted with the highest ethical standards, internal company policies, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develops a deep understanding of key D&S customer contracts Provides independent and objective contract evaluation Provides guidance and oversight as required to enable continued adherence to applicable laws and regulations – including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (“FAR”) and its supplements Advises management on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions Maximizes profit and cash flow while minimizing risk in the negotiation of contracts Contributes to the development of strong working relationships with customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction Drafts and negotiates key agreements Mentors and provides guidance to D&S Contracts team Champions integrity Works to improve customer experience YOU MUST HAVE Juris Doctor (JD) or Law Degree Minimum 10 years of Legal or Contracts experience Minimum 7 years of experience interpreting and applying the Federal Acquisition Regulations and its supplements. WE VALUE Significant D&S contract formation and administration experience preferred, including experience applying the Federal Acquisition Regulations and its supplements, export control regulations, contract law, protecting intellectual property, dispute resolution and efficient change management Strong problem solving, analysis, interpretation and negotiation of contract terms and conditions Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration including legal, procurement, accounting requirements, international contracting laws, and negotiations Demonstrated communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership, and initiative in dynamic environments Sound business judgment and analytical skills Ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to address issues in a dynamic environment
