The Chief Legal Officer (CLO) will be a key member of the executive management team and

assume a strategic role in the Company. This newly created role has a strong focus on strategy

and leadership to analyze and improve existing policies and procedures, ensure strategies

align with objectives, and secure and retain confidential records.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate a sound understanding of corporate

culture, excellent planning, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates should be an expert in

corporate law. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and management to all divisions of the organization and

promote the mission and core values of the company.

- Strategic Advisor - Implementing the Team’s strategy. Analyzing and evaluating existing

strategies, policies, and procedures and reforming them with the help of executives and

staff from a legal standpoint.

- Responsible for all legal matters affecting the Company for legal affairs including labor

and employment, competition, disputes, legal and government investigations, customer

and distribution agreements, technology licensing and other matters.

- Provides overall vision, direction and collaborative leadership of the Company’s legal

and compliance initiatives.

- Acts as a close advisor to Executive Management in connection with setting policies for

the business.

- Advises management and the Board of Directors regarding legal risk and compliance

matters.

- Reviews, updates and develops Company data privacy and security policies and

procedures.

- Works with technology professionals to ensure that the company employs best practices

and remains in compliance on all data handling.

- Provides legal counsel and investigation services for claims of violation of law or

company policy and procedures as well as for apparent security breaches.

- Provides expertise and oversight on litigation and regulatory matters, including

subpoenas, litigation discovery and other similar matters.

- Acting as an excellent brand ambassador at all times.

- Attend Executive Board Meetings

- Manage the Legal Annual Budget

Qualifications

-Minimum of Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice in the State of NJ as well as 10

years experience in a similar role.

- Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role including at least 5 years in an in-house

environment

- Excellent management and leadership skills

- Strong business acumen

- Thorough knowledge of Labor Laws and HR functions

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and justice

- Keeping leadership informed of new or changing laws

- Developing and implementing legal strategies and policies in the best interest of the

company

- Corporate compliance issues

- Litigating on behalf of the Company

- Understanding contracts signed by the Company

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management
