General Counsel, Cannabis Industry

The General Counsel has oversight of all things legal at Battle Green. You'll be the go-to subject matter expert across corporate legal matters and subjects. Plus, you get to partner with external counsel to ensure we are taking the best step forward!

But what exactly does that mean? Well, it means our executives, board members, and additional staff will come to you for legal advice on mergers, litigation, acquisitions, financing, corporate strategic initiatives, transactions, contracts, and everything in-between.

So, who are we looking for?

You'd be a great fit if you:

Obtained your Juris Doctorate degree and are licensed to practice in Ohio.

Are curious and strive to make sense of new legal codes, executive orders, agency rules and the democratic political process.

Find complex transactions, governance, and corporate law interesting and see it as your forte!

Currently work in-house as a corporate attorney or supported clients while at a corporate law firm for more than 5 years.

Are a critical thinker with an ability to adapt to changing regulations and are a strong communicator (written and verbal).

Enjoy working on multiple projects and do an excellent job prioritizing urgent requests.

Love being part of a team - we enjoy working in groups and regularly partner up to get things done!
