• Ability to negotiate, write, and execute contracts and transactional documents on behalf of the company
• Ensure and monitor compliance with agreements
• Ability to draft and review corporate procedures, policies, and programs
• Ability to provide counsel on a variety of legal issues
• Ability to lead and support due diligence in connection with company acquisitions
• Research unique legal issues that could potentially impact the company
• Create and maintain trainings for the company on legal topics
• Collaborate with Management, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to assure legal adherence
• Manage Intellectual Property estate, coordinate IP development and licensing
• Ability to supervise and liaise with outside counsel
• Lead corporate formation including international
• Lead corporate ESG initiatives
• Lead on export control issues
• Lead data security initiatives
• Lead M&A activity

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
Degree and Qualifications Law degree from a recognized university and admitted to the TX bar
Minimum of 7 years Experience in medium to large sized law firm and/or in-house with a major firm
Advanced Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
Advanced Knowledge in government laws and regulations
Advanced Knowledge in contract administration
Intermediate Knowledge in Human Resources, Quality Management Systems and Information Technology
Advanced Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Advanced Skill in basic computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation applications and internet usage
Language Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies. Ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write professional correspondences. Ability to speak effectively with others. Ability to present formal information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and/or other employees. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and/or employees.
Mathematical Abilities:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and design and interpret charts and graphs to communicate business issues.
Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to carry out business objectives. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Temperament:
Flexibility and coping with change. Multitasking. Ability to maintain composure in a stressful environment. Freedom to work from supervision. Performance under tight deadline.
