Our client, an industrial agriculture development firm, is seeking an experienced General Counsel for its' DC offices. As one of their initiatives, the company is focused on promoting sustainable agriculture to curtail carbon emissions. The company has had several rounds of financing. Employees consist of engineers and scientists nationwide.

In this dynamic General Counsel role, you will handle a multitude of areas such as:

Financials, IP – trademarks, patents, employment matters and other misc. matters. You will also oversee funding, grants and more. Here's an opportunity to develop the legal department using your unique skills and creativity. You will work directly with the CEO.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years General Counsel experience, preferably in a start-up situation; is licensed in DC and has great academics. Salary plus 2-4% equity and great benefits.
