General Counsel

Sunrise Futures is looking to hire a highly talented General Counsel to be the subject matter expert in driving thoughtful solutions and providing legal advice in our fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a huge impact on the firm.

The Role:

Partner with the management and other teams in the firm to provide strategic legal advice on a wide-range of legal matters such as corporate law, employment law, immigration matters, vendor agreements, and more.

Provide advice and counsel to help the business stay up-to-date and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Review, analyze, and draft contracts and other legal documents.

Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.

Research applicable laws and develop strategies while building out the firm's legal department.

Work on challenging and dynamic problems in a team atmosphere.

The Requirements:

3+ years of proven legal experience in a business environment

Juris Doctor with Financial Industry experience preferred

Prior experience with handling non-compete documents

Experience counseling on Intellectual Property matters

Knowledge of employment law is a plus

Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Problem solvers who are driven, self-motivated, and "outside of the box" thinkers

Motivated, dependable, and responsible team players
