Role Summary

Semperis is searching for a General Counsel to handle all our company’s legal transactions, customer agreements, partnerships, and projects. The ideal candidate will guarantee that all our company’s transactions comply with laws and regulations, while actively helping our company reduce and mitigate possible legal risks.

Other duties will include consulting and leading all corporate legal processes such as compliance, transactions, partnerships. Previous experience working in a technology startup environment and outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with critical attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities:

Negotiate deals and partnerships on behalf of the company

Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management

Evaluate business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors

Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters

Protect the company against legal risks and violations

Examine the legal issues related to new products and services

Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations

Experience with corporate governance issues and corporate secretarial duties

Ability to work with and lead compliance efforts

Act as Secretary of the Board of Directors

Understanding of intellectual property law and protections

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law

Prior in-house or startup experience

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate law

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Good understanding of privacy laws and regulations

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills

Previous experience in international legal and commercial negotiations

Ability to work in fast paced startup environment

Technical background or skillset is an advantage
