HealthCare.com is seeking experienced General Counsel to join our growing team. This person will be a trusted partner to our executive team and an essential leader in our long-term success.

As General Counsel, you’ll be responsible for building our company toward IPO-readiness, building and leading our legal and compliance operations, and managing risk across the business, all while propelling our company forward in a way that’s consistent with our mission.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Build Healthcare, Inc. toward public company readiness

Partner with Finance and executive teams to prepare company for IPO-readiness, including preparation of timetable and responsibilities of internal and external parties

Manage and own all disclosure documents and securities filings necessary to go and stay public

Work with Finance, Business Development, and executive teams to prepare for capital raises and issuances

Build and lead the legal and compliance operations of our company

Develop and lead corporate legal strategy to promote and protect company matters

Provide legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities

Maintain knowledge of and update (as necessary) our operations and legal documents

Examine and create draft agreements, such as employment and vendor agreements

Conduct legal research and keep abreast of relevant legislative changes

Partner with external parties as needed, such as regulators and external counsel

Manage risk while enabling the business

Understand key risks to the business, from executives to independent contributors and across departments, with a focus on marketplace trust & safety, employment matters, and business law

Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically

Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks

Put in place legal frameworks around how we think about risk and our toughest legal issues

Communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and roles to educate the team about risks while enabling people in their work

What You Have (Experience, Knowledge, Skills):

At least 2 years of experience as General Counsel or senior legal team member at a significantly larger public company

Experience having done an IPO previously

Experience working at a high-growth startup (preferred)

Strong business acumen
