This full-time General Counsel - IP position is a member of the Honeywell Aerospace Intellectual Property Law Department and is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the Aerospace's business from both the IP and transactional sides. This position reports to the Honeywell Aerospace Chief Intellectual Property Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage IP portfolios and supervise outside patent prosecution counsel; perform invention mining and evaluation

Support business needs for creative licensing of IP, patent enforcement, and new business opportunities; draft agreements and negotiate IP terms; advise business teams on IP-related transaction provisions

Perform freedom to market reviews; evaluate and resolve product clearance issues

Establish and maintain excellent relationships with business clients and attorney peers

Respond to and resolve IP defensive matters

Educate management and technical staff regarding intellectual property protection

MUST HAVE:

Education - BS degree (Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical) and JD degree

Registered to practice before at least one state bar and the USPTO

Minimum 2 years of patent prosecution experience as a patent attorney

Minimum of 7 years legal experience directed to patent prosecution, intellectual property transactions, and/or IP litigation

Must be a US citizen due to handling export control information.
