General Counsel

Pride Global is seeking an attorney to lead our legal team as a General Counsel based in our beautiful midtown Manhattan office at the top of the Graybar Building. Reporting directly to our CEO, this is a unique leadership opportunity where you will be handling business transactions, human resources issues, compliance, collections matters, contract and agreements, and commercial litigation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead a team of corporate attorneys and a legal assistant; work alongside external counsel

Will oversee the preparation and execution of all contracts

Work in-house to advise executives, account managers, and associates on strategic legal and business matters

Research and interpret employment and labor law issues across all US jurisdictions

Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial, employment, and non-disclosure agreements

Oversee compliance functions

Devise and draft policies, standards, and procedures to foster compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Conduct and manage investigations related to human resources and employment matters

Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record

5+ years of corporate/ commercial litigation experience

Experience with contract review, drafting, and negotiating

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to advocate for a position while maintaining a practical, business-minded approach

Ability to use good judgment and make good decisions that consider the needs of all stakeholders

Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
