Description:

Job Responsibilities

Provides legal review of and advice regarding various Company agreements and other documents, including as to the drafting thereof and risks associated therewith

Manages the protection and enforcement of legal rights in respect of Company assets, including development of related documentation and filings

Manages litigation matters in assigned area(s) of responsibility, including the engagement and oversight of outside counsel

Leads or supports, as needed, meetings of internal committees related to assigned area(s) of responsibility

Acts as a legal resource to various internal departments as needed (e.g., to Corporate Development for due diligence activities in assigned area(s) of responsibility)

Provides relevant training to employees in the businesses

Develops relevant Legal Department processes and practices relating to assigned area(s) of responsibility

Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide prompt, practical counsel and creative solutions in all areas of responsibility while minimizing risk

- Ability to identify changes in law and oversee compliance, propose guideline and practice changes, and effectively educate and train internal clients

- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities

- Detail-oriented, organized, responsive to client needs

- Proven capability to balance a variety of high priority projects simultaneously

- Solid computer skills including extensive knowledge of specialized software related to assigned area(s) of responsibility

- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education:

Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association

Experience Requirements

Minimum three years of experience as an attorney (or equivalent substitute experience) in a firm or corporate setting required

Certifications Preferred

- Admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or another state

- Additional certifications or bar admissions as required based on assigned area(s) of responsibility

Languages:

English (Speak, Read, Write)
