General Counsel

Our client, a publicly-traded emerging growth company, seeks a General Counsel. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is an individual contributor role. While public company and M&A experience is necessary, this role is primarily for a business transactions generalist. Candidates should have over 15 years of solid legal experience, including senior in-house experience in the following areas: commercial transactions (business contracts such as strategic partnerships and JV agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, leases, technology agreements) in areas such as retail, manufacturing and/or B2B; regulated industries experience; public company experience; M&A; information technology; and, Labor & Employment. Candidate should have experience in – or be comfortable working in – an industry in its infancy. This will require critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
