General Overview: Joining Honeywell, you will be the lead labor and employment attorney for our HBT business. You will report directly to the VP & GC of Labor and Employment for Honeywell and matrix report to the General Counsel of the Strategic Business Group you are assigned. You will serve on the leadership teams of the Corp L&E COE and SBG HR & Legal teams. Besides advising clients on general issues, will also lead complex high level investigations as required.

General Responsibilities:

Cost effectively manage and direct outside counsel, including taking the lead in developing strategy and tactics for complex employee litigation matters

Handle smaller employment litigation matters directly

Draft and review, and suggest improvements to labor and employment, immigration and other related policies, procedures and guidelines.

Provide due diligence on labor related aspects of mergers and acquisitions

Support and contribute to HR Legal team's annual objectives, the Company and Human Resource team’s initiatives, and work on continuous improvement of our policies and processes

Assist in development and implementation of employment and labor-related company policies and programs

Review all reduction in force and employee terminations

Be a business partner, driving business growth through different forms of negotiation

Be aware of cognizant of risk – but help the business achieve its objectives

Participate in, review, and lead all levels of Business Conduct reviews

Perform due diligence on compensation reviews to ensure there is no adverse impact

Be a leading voice on diversity and how we can drive it better HON wide

Mandatory Requirements:

· Juris Doctor

· Admitted to US bar

· 7 + years of experience practicing labor and employment
