Aeris has the enviable position of leading the charge in what is arguably the hottest segment of the emerging economy – the Internet of Things (“IoT”). Aeris delivers and manages mission-critical hosted services for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 enterprise customers, helping these entities fulfill their IoT mission and fundamentally change their business.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Aeris also has offices in Chicago, London, Delhi, and Tokyo. As the IoT market continues to evolve and grow our company must also expand and acquire new talent to help attack our next set of opportunities.

Our General Counsel will report to the company’s Chief Financial Officer and will assume responsibility for all legal activities across the organization. Key Responsibilities

The General Counsel is expected to bring a well-rounded set of qualifications to the company, but just as importantly will take part in a continuous learning cycle by engaging deeply in the business and finding new ways to advocate for success in a dynamic environment.

Key areas of accountability include:

Lead corporate governance and legal strategy for parent company, foreign subsidiaries and joint ventures

Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and business partners

Collaborate with and advise company leadership on a full range of legal and business activities

Advise, train and develop strategies for data privacy best practices across the organization

Perform and support diligence for M&A activities

Manage in-house and outside counsel in support of all company legal objectives
