The Capital Corps has an excellent opportunity for a corporate attorney with litigation and corporate law experience representing the company in consumer or commercial transaction and litigation matters.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position will serve as a valued business partner in providing legal advice and tools to various departments. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance legal and leadership skills and develop an industry-wide perspective. This position will be based out of either our Pacific Palisades, Corona, or Anaheim office.

JOB DUTIES

Entity formation and general business litigation experience, evidencing the ability to counsel investors and existing businesses on entity set up, general investor guidelines and inter-entity and creditor disputes.

Drafts and negotiates a variety of commercial agreements. Reviews, analyzes, and negotiates all related legal documents. Manages multiple reviews at any given time.

Performs due diligence for coordinated transactions.

Assesses facts and business terms, applies legal principals and advises the business.

Works with outside and inside counsel to manage litigation brought by and against the Company and advise executives on strategy

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and a member in good standing of the California State Bar.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal counsel and corporate law as a litigation associate within a corporate legal department and/or private law firm.

Strong legal research, analytic and writing skills. Must be able to apply the law to the business’s operations in a practical, common sense manner, as well as distill complex legal concepts into understandable terms for non-lawyers.

Applicants must possess an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and be computer-savvy.

Being detail-oriented is absolutely mandatory; you must be able to proofread and spot typos in documents.

Demonstrated experience learning new areas of the law and industry regulations

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
