Position Overview: Deep Labs is looking for an experienced General Counsel to join our growing team as we enter our next phase of growth. The General Counsel will have ultimate responsibility for all legal functions of the global organization and serve as an essential member of the executive leadership team working with our Product, Sales, Engineering, and Client Services teams. We are looking for a professional who has experience working in a fast growth technology startup environment. This role reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

You will oversee all legal matters of the company globally; provide ongoing legal advice and counseling in multiple areas of corporate law, employment law, IP, and privacy law

Provide legal support on multiple agreements, including software licensing agreements, SaaS licensing agreements, channel partner and OEM agreements, vendor contracts, consulting and service agreements, among others

Draft, review and negotiate complex contracts including by not limited to: sales contracts, master service agreements, vendor agreements, IP licenses, GDPR compliance, consultant agreements, and lease agreements

Ensure organizational operations and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations, and recommend changes to organizational procedures with the goal of minimizing risk

Support the CEO and Finance team in corporate development efforts

You will work with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with our goals

Experience:

15+ years of professional legal experience

Worked as in-house counsel with a focus in financial services, payments, banking, risk, fraud, identity or behavioral analytics

Take on big challenges and complex projects and to be accountable for results, while and balancing multiple tasks

Experience managing outside counsel•

Education: JD degree
