General Counsel

Rizing is looking for a General Counsel in North America and become a key member of the Rizing Legal Team. In this role, you will report to our President of Rizing and be responsible for a wide range of commercial, employment, privacy, and corporate matters affecting our global team member base. #LI-JR1

Essential Functions

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, software license agreements, cloud services agreements, data protection agreements, and partnership agreements.

Advise on, draft, maintain, and review templates and policies.

Monitor and analyze changes in corporate, privacy, and employment law; propose practical solutions to address those changes.

Assist on corporate governance issues and transactions, including entity management, mergers and acquisitions, and integration.

Handle Legal Department administrative tasks, including overseeing document execution and document management systems (DocuSign and contract management systems).

Manage outside counsel relationships, as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Law degree (or equivalent).

Registered to practice law in Australia with an unrestricted Legal Practicing Certificate.

Substantial PAE either in private practice or in-house, preferably in a multinational technology company.

Experience with SaaS model contracts and related legal and business issues.

Familiarity working across the globe to support multiple time zones and cultures.
