Drawing on decades of experience in Apple IT, we saw a dire need for a modern Apple device management platform that could accommodate growing businesses and increasing regulatory demands.

Kandji grew to hundreds of B2B customers within a few months of initial product launch in 2019, and secured a $60 million Series B in 2021. Today, we have a 95% Customer Satisfaction rate and a rapidly growing community of customers, including names like Crunchbase, Belkin, Rackspace, Allbirds, FabFitFun, VSCO, and Turo.

Behind our business is a handful of the best investors in tech. Together, we are creating a new category of device management that can better serve modern businesses.

We’re looking to make our first Legal hire to lead Kandji’s Legal Function, coordinate with third-party Legal advisors and grow a world-class Legal Team over time. The General Counsel is expected to be both a strategic thought partner to the CEO/Executive Leadership Team, as well as possess deep Legal expertise. This role reports to the CEO and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Day to Day

Provide thought leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams that require practical and business-minded Legal advice.

Partner closely with GTM and Operations on commercial and procurement terms.

Review commercial and other legal agreements, including sales, customer success, procurement, information security, and IP agreements.

Coordinate with third-party Legal advisors on various matters, including contracts, start-up financing, and litigation.

Research and implement commercial, data privacy, security and regulatory matters in alignment with applicable laws and regulations in North America and Europe.

Grow a high-performing Kandji Legal Team in the future.

Qualifications

10+ years of prior experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department of a leading B2B enterprise technology company; 2+ years as General Counsel at a B2B enterprise technology company preferred

Significant experience in reviewing commercial B2B SaaS contracts.

Previously worked with third-party Legal advisors on start-up financing and complex litigation.

Understanding of U.S. and EMEA commercial, data privacy, security and regulatory matters and experience with expanding Sales and Operations in EMEA.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, collaborate across cross-functional teams, build consensus among partners, and maintain strong relationships.

Prior experience building and leading a high-performing Legal team.

Member of the California Bar strongly preferred.
