General Counsel

VIDERI is seeking an experienced and motivated General Counsel (GC) to join our team. This role offers an opportunity for a driven candidate to serve as an instrumental advisor to our organization. Reporting to the CEO, the GC will be part of leadership, focusing on tactical legal counseling to mitigate risk in all areas of the business. The GC will play a dynamic role working cross-functionally across the organization to execute strategy based on high-level company objectives.

What you’ll do:

Oversee the delivery of all legal matters and services for the company including, but not limited to, general corporate matters, contracts, employment and litigation matters

Advise executive members on strategy and product solutions regarding new and existing laws to achieve key business objectives

Draft, review and edit a wide variety of commercial contracts and engage in routine negotiations with contract counterparties

Evaluate the legal and compliance infrastructure and continuously improve our legal processes

Work closely with various business units to assist in the accomplishment of all business objectives

Support the company’s corporate governance policies

Proactively identify solutions that will reduce or mitigate risks

What you’ll need:

J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar

10+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience in the technology sector

Experience with product and regulatory counseling related to consumer protection, privacy, data security, and intellectual property law

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an absolute commitment to professionalism
