Our focus at Digital Currency Group Real Estate (“DCGRE”) is to create a network of physical and digital real estate assets that are not only meant to serve and support DCG and its subsidiaries, but will also be the home for numerous emerging companies within the blockchain industry. What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Managing all legal processes and documentation across a broad range of real estate transactions in the commercial real estate and cryptocurrency industry

Providing general business counsel, corporate governance, and real estate law advice on an as-needed basis

Advising DCG executive members on new laws, existing laws and legal rights that would impact functionality of the business

Overseeing the legal matters of the real estate business as a whole, including acting as the business’ legal representative for DCG and its subsidiaries. Liaising with Legal and Tax leads at DCG and other subsidiaries, where applicable.

Maintaining knowledge and records of the company’s legal documents and operations

Facilitating acquisitions, dispositions, financings and leasing matters for both physical and digital real estate

Preparing closing documents

Negotiating terms of real estate transactions

Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation

Facilitating filings of licensing forms and other statutory requirements

Communicating with outside counsel

Legally filing for copyright of intellectual property

Entity creation and entity structuring, where applicable

Continuously educating yourself on the rapidly evolving digital real estate/crypto markets

What You’ll Bring:

J.D. degree required

Minimum 5 years of relevant emerging company & real estate law experience

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to be able to describe complicated problems in a clear and concise manner

A knack for organization and surfacing issues

Strong track record of advancement/attainment in both academic and professional environments

Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, comfortable navigating ambiguity

Ability to multitask and manage/prioritize own workload to meet deadlines

Analytical thinker

Collaborative worker / team player

Strong sense of self-awareness and empathy

Crypto-curious

This is a hybrid position with remote and in-office work. The role requires that the incumbent travel to Stamford, CT regularly.
